6 For The Youngster...

Recommended Posts

Nipped out tonight for the last night of the season, a bit later on than I would like but I haven't done a lot of lamping this season with working nights. Been mostly daytime mooching and bushing.

I just took my red bitch, she's 14 months now and has been on the lamp 3/4 times. She's never followed the beam before but she was definitely getting the hang of it tonight. Gave her a few decent slips.

Retrieving has always been non existent but she retrieved 2 to my hand tonight. The other 4 she stood a few feet away.

She only missed 2 from 8 runs so I can't complain. She's really keen for the job, faster than she looks and got a brilliant strike on her. Looking forward to next season now...

Nice one Penda. I had wrapped up myself really but I was off work, weather was ideal and the moon was down so we went for a wander.

Normally struggle to get near anything this late in the season around here.

Spot on gaz.with working nights you have to take advantage of the nights you have off...

Sure do mate. Just come out of an interview for a day job though. So fingers crossed. I've missed my lamping too much these last 2 seasons.

Cheers Trev. The only other wheaten cross I've seen work is her Sire and he could shift for his size. I believe the brother to my bitch is doing really well and can run too, he's made a fair lump, similar build to my bitch but 27".
