Haiddheliwr 1,911
Read some old copies and subscribed straight away. Excellent IMO far better than the shop mags 1 Quote Link to post
eastcoast 4,318
I've subscribed since year dot no matter what. When it first came out I had my fingers burned by another very short lived monthly working dog mag and was reluctant to send more money to more strangers. I wrote to the man who was editor of EDRD at the time and he assured me that it wouldn't happen with his mag. That was more than twenty year ago and every month since then an issue has been sent. That editor is still the same man who produces an issue every month without fail. If you have read a few old issues then you have an idea of what's produced every month. It's just tales and opinions on earth dogs and running dogs. I like it. Regards 1 Quote Link to post

Waz 4,282
I've known of 2 people write in it and there story's were very fictional, Used to get it and have every copy up till about 6 year or so ago. Didnt bother renewing as a Walter Mitty seemed to have verbal diarea in every edition it seemed. Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
The amount of time EDRD has been going for says it all! As said earlier on this thread there is not much out there for us. This is my first subscription but have past copies which I have read more than once. I have read most terrier and lurcher books by various authors and was engrossed in many, were they totally honest in what they wrote personally I honestly don't know or care really, all I know is they captured my imagination. EDRD relies on these contributors to keep this magazine getting published month after month so anyone who thinks they have an interesting experience share it with ones that read it. I have no connection at all with EDRD but the editor is a top man who dedicates his life to the magazine and I for one will support him. 6 Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
Just for the record the editor is in his 80's and still gets out with his terriers, if that is not dedication I do not know what is. 8 Quote Link to post
Daniel cain 47,259
And when you meet the man he is a true gentleman that always has time to have a chat about the dog's, iv'e met dave on a few occasions and it's always been a pleasure.I don't subscribe to edrd but have the original working terrier year books that dave signed for me a few years ago,I always enjoy his books by far the best on working terriers.atb dc 3 Quote Link to post
