Old False Earth ?

I came across this today ive very little knowledge in the way of terriers would you say It was an old earth. The stones above have been cemented.and the half pipe runs back about 6ft to a stop end rock face.

Bit of a strange place for that pipe, what would it be for, to go to a stop there?, and the wouldn't surely have put a man made going in their, but you never know

It's a strange 1 Pablo.as its only half a pipe it wouldn't be of any use for carrying water.and someone has gone to the effort of carrying cement there.

Could be a tunnel for a fen trap, 6ft is a bit extreme but I'd say it's useless as an artificial if you have no way of digging it and only one entrance/exit.

Definitely not an artificial. No one in the right mind would put a dog in there. Maybe some sort of ventilation pipe from years gone by?

It is on forestry land rt.maybe the floor has been built up and this pipe is on the roof of the shaft.
