Zimpara 99
Is having the odd flyer PcP specific? I never had flyers TX200 .22, I had bad groups. With the PCP I have something like a 4shot one hole group and then a flyer way out. Any help? PS love this .177! It's like a laser! Very confidence inspiring. Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Ha. This is a mad post, Ive always pondered this. We notice the 'odd flyer' from a PCP more as there no shooting 'experience' so to speak. It like you think, well, thats odd? It hasn't hit the same group. Whereas with the springer your mind doesn't wonder as it must be down to the shooter. You notice the flaws in the shooting of a PCP, could be pellets, consistency of air delivery etc. I completely know what you mean. We may have them in the field, but really that 'odd flyer' is never to far away from the point of aim and so still strikes that rabbit or bird where you wanted. Quote Link to post
Coypu Hunter 486
Nope, springers do it too. It's normally down to the shooter (a slight repositioning of your hold on the stock will do it with a springer) or a dodgy pellet (misshapen or different head size/weight). Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,834
The thing is that pcp,s are so precise that the slightest movement even off the pod will send the pellet where you dont want it to go IE, taking your eye away from the scope before the pellet has left the barrel as they are hold sensitive the slightest movement will affect them atvbmac  Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Concentration lapse, you get four shots in one hole, and then the fifth your there looking through your scope, thinking that the next will be in the one hole group, but while your thinking that, your concentration is on that fifth shot, and not the shot it's self. MISSED. 1 Quote Link to post
