Coypu Hunter 486
Depends if you're used to shooting springers or not, which requires practice in terms of maintaining the correct hold to achieve good accuracy. The CO2 rifle would be easier to shoot (no recoil), but you will find that the power drops off a little in cold weather, and CO2 rifles tend to be a little under-powered in any case (around 10 fpe). You should check the zero of any rifle before taking aim at live quarry, but this is particularly important for CO2 rifles. If you can put in the practice time to learn to shoot a springer well, then I'd say go for the springer -- they're cheaper to run, and there's less to go wrong. 1 Quote Link to post
Blackdog92 2,047
If you fancy a cheap CO2 my mate has a umrarex 850 airmagnum and he rates it highly. He only shoots targets with it though. There supposedly easy to mod as well. Were did you get the quote for the 88g cans at £11 £12 from? I can get them at my local gunshop for £8 and even cheaper if you buy in bulk online. Quote Link to post

A bit of TLC outside and in, perhaps an internal degrease and re-lube if it's twanging, possibly a stronger mainspring if the old one is underpowered, and you could have exactly what you're looking for at a very reasonable price! 2 Quote Link to post
