Your Choice To Springers Hw 77 Or Hw 97 Kt

Recommended Posts

Just a strip down and polish with a re grease is al you need to do .

I have had a V-Mach kit in my .177 HW97 but started to have problems with it , so stripped it down put a standard spring back in ,polish re grease and it shoots the best it has ever done 11.5 FT/LBS

Its not so much the kit, although spring guides, top hats, etc do help, but tuning is so much more than simply dropping a kit in,I have tuned a few Weihrauchs lately, and all the new ones suffer from, swarf in the comp chamber, badly finished springs, swarf stuck in the piston seal, and lots of rough sharp edges, so all these issues need to be addressed, as well as polishing, and re-lubing,when all this is done, you have a very nice rifle, but if you buy a Walther lgu, none of this will need doing,it will be uber smooth super quiet for a spring gun, and super accurate,I just bought the lgv break barrel version, and it really is light years away from a HW........ out of the box, and many many tuned ones I have used, but if its HW you must have, and you want to diy the job, a Welsh Willy, kit is a reasonable priced kit that will improve things no end, my advice? If you order a WW kit, or a Vortek kit (superb bit of kit) get the piston seal as well, and junk the standard HW seal, they seem to be rather substandard recently.

Does it have to be HW 77 or 97 ? "out of the box" ? - HW 97 or 77 tuned are lovely rifles.

"Out of the box" - Air Arms have just took 1st and 2nd at international hft with the TX 200 hc mk3 :whistling:

with .177 of coarse !

Only saying like

.177 - for those that struggle with hold over & under...........

Says who ? You under estimate people .

He is right Mark,

and only a few can shoot both

only saying like :whistling:

Where`ve you been twatty ? Santa duty ?

Shooting .22 is easy as is .177, just remember your homework for open areas.

If not a short pencil is better than any memory and do a "Si Pitterway" stick the calibrations onto your flip up lens caps.
