philpot 5,091
Just downloaded Chairgun but it looks a bit complicated. I have watched Si Pittaway using it but the version I have seems to be different. Phil Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
Phil Just takes a bit of time to get used to Most important Weight of pellet Fps Poi at range , i.e. Zero range say 35 yards , then go back to say 50 yards then shoot a the bull and measure how far the pellet has dropped i.e. Say 3.5 inches , and put that in the program You can the put your scope in i.e. Yours 4x12 X 50 Then play with the Magnifcation and some where along the line you will find that the mill dots should end up with 5 yard increments If your on the bis mag 177 fps should be about 706 / 710 fps Hope this helps Quote Link to post

philpot 5,091
I have bought scales last year for another purpose so thats okay and I have a Combro chrono so I'm covered there. I will master the software just a bit slow when it comes to computer stuff, not my comfort zone if you follow me. I watched Si Pittaway on youtube doing the '3 shot method' which first attracted me to the idea because it sounds to be a brilliant method. I did find that my Hawk Varmint scope is no longer on the Chairgun listing so looked for another scope at 4-16 x 44 sf but really was not sure what to do there. I know the scope is now no longer in production but my god they are still selling them in a number of shops and there must be a great many out there so why remove it from the listing.
