mark williams 7,568
Lads please pass on some Scope/ mount recommendations for the HW 100 kt .177. I do a lot of static/hide hunting in woodland situations and like to thread precision shots through spindle branches. Thank You Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
Something light with loads of aim points for myself. Enhances the precision I suppose. 1 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,568
I have an eye on the MTC Viper 4-16 x50 ir . A very highly recommended air rifle scope for hide work,- any thoughts lads, please ? Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Stick to your MTC's mark, you know there for you, you use one already and it has served its purpose well. I personally don't like them but some do. The big old viper would no doubt suit that KT down to the ground. I don't know, I find the reticle a bit on the thicker side compared to the higher end Hawke models and so on. 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Yes the reticule on MTC seems to suit my shooting well.( older eyes) Saying that though, if the Hawke scope gets employed we all get the "chair gun pro" for free, which is a marvelous tool to have. I will probably stick with MTC and the old fashioned way of "Near and Far calibration" which puts me in the field to calibrate rather than a computer card.No disrespect intended. I notice that Si Pitterway uses a Hawke Panorama 4-12 x 40 ao, ir half mill dot and chair gun - does make you think when you have watched him . Please keep the suggestions coming lads. David.evans 5,323
Mark If you get a 1/2 mill dot as you know with chair gun , when yove banged in all the info , You can make the ranges work at 5 yard increments, by playing with the Magnifcation I.e. 40 zero , 45 1/2 mill dot up 50 yards 1 mill dot ect , and as you know it's bang on accurate Atb Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
I've got BKL mounts on my anschutz .22 and I've been impressed with them for the money, seem very sturdy. Also I have a mamba lite on my rapid and I'm happy with that. MTC Genisis is good as well but adds more weight. Neither have ever moved zero on my guns. Quote Link to post
