It didn't look like a kick to me, looked like Marquez tried to excelerate into Rossi thus flicking his leg off the peg, I would like to see somebody kick over 1000cc superbike while riding another one. Rossi is a bit of a panel basher when he is held up, but I don't think he's a cheat. And who took Pedrosa out by ramming him and snapping off his wheelie contol?

I wouldn't say it was Honda tactics but more Spanish tactics imo.

I personally think it was Marquez leaning into Rossi and Rossi pushed him away.https://youtu.be/5CnafvuTyFo

i wouldn't have thought there's much truth in that, i don't think he would throw a possible 25 points away, when you say it's a pity marquez got involved, i wouldn't say involved as much as they all r

I don't know what Marquez was on about saying Rossi nudged his front brake with his knee which made him crash. Firstly you can see his knee is nowhere near the brake lever and they have had to have a guard across the front brake lever for several seasons now to stop just that happening.

Considering Marquez was one of the dirtiest riders in 125 and moto 2, I wouldn't put it past him to have hit the front brake on purpose.

The kick was stupid though.

i agree with most other posts you have made in the past.....but not this one.....if you watch the slow-mo on youtube you can clearly see the foot is right level with the handle bar/brake lever, his foot probably hit in that area of the brake lever, when you say that you wouldn't put it past him to hit his own front brake on purpose....why on earth would he want to that? in all the years of watching racing have you ever seen another rider deliberately crash there bike to get the other rider in trouble?

it was clearly a kick that pulled marquez down, you see rossi look at him three times which makes him drift into marc and then came the kick, when you said you would like to see if someone could kick over a 1000cc bike while riding another, in the same scenario if you were both leaning over, the weight is all transferred down one side of the bike, and a nudge/kick to the handle bar/front brake end would easily tip the bike under, its like a lot of things in life.....timing is the key.

He has nothing to lose. I'm not saying he did, just that I wouldn't put it past him. There's no way someone could touch someone else's front brake though, so it's a mystery how/if it was applied. :hmm:

Of coarse you could get a toe on that brake lever, if there lean't over it's the perfect angle, the gap between the bar and the lever is big enough to get your fist in there, ......so why not the toe of a boot? a rifle has got a guard over the trigger but it does only mean your finger can pull it, does it, and you wouldn't put it past him to crash his bike on purpose,..... what a load of crap, you haven't got a clue about bike racing if you think he would dump his bike as he hasn't got nothing to lose, i bet you don't even ride bikes, your just pissed because rossi has thrown his dummy out of the pram and ruined his own chances,

I think he can do it, I mean, what a race if he does, there are only a hand full of riders in MotGP that are good enough to finish on top from the back, and Rossi is one of them, C'mon Rossi. :D

yeah the others are, marquez, pedrosa, and the one and only lorenzo, i hope marquez keeps the gaylord back so lorenzo takes the world tittle. C'mon lorenzo :D

Whoa! WTF is that hostility about? I wasn't rude to you. I'm sure he didn't get a toe in the 3" gap in the guard at speed. Not even Rossi is that good. But that's my opinion and that doesn't make it crap.

I've watched bike racing for over 30 years, ridden a bike for 35+ years and been to bike races all over the world. Got that bit wrong didn't you?

Oh dear, what you have seen as hostility is not hostility at all, its frustration. When it comes down to Rossi its always the same, its never his fault and its always someone else's, he must have golden balls. Through your 35 years + of motorbike riding, I would have thought that in those years it would have taught you that incidents like these happen very easily. I can't get into my head why you would think a world class rider would deliberately crash just to get a response from another rider, it just wouldn't happen. Yes you are entitled to your opinion, 99% of Rossi fans are blinded by his antics, because if the situation was reversed they would all be jumping on Marquez saying that he did the dirty on Rossi. Because its not like that they are still jumping over Marquez even though he's taken the fall. I have been racing bikes and riding bikes for over 43 years, bet you didn't know that ! I know how easy it is to be pulled off and to pull someone else off with the slightest of contact. Whether it be back of the bike or front of the bike. I'm living proof of how easy it is to be knocked off by the slightest of touches. In my experience in road racing, yes, it is possible to knock the brake lever/throttle area, at the lean angle that they are at, his handle bars would only be inches away from the other riders footrest. With Rossi's lanky legs he would have no problem reaching it.

Opinion noted. However I never professed to be a Rossi Fan. After Capirossi left motogp I kind of lost interest with it as it is mostly a procession now after the first couple of laps. I much prefer WSB now, and if I had to cheer anyone on in motogp it would be Pedrosa, IMO the most talented rider never to win a championship.

So let's agree to differ like gentlemen.

Oh bugger, I'll have to cancel the pistols at dawn now  I totally agree with you on Pedrosa always the bridesmaid and never the bride. The one I had high hopes for was Marco Simoncelli but fortunately he was taken far too soon. I thought he had what it took to be a world champion one day. When I was racing and on my road bikes I carried his number 58 as a mark of respect to a gone too soon rider.
