There is now a new compressor on the market but at £1300, only a club would buy one and the time to fill a 4lt bottle was something like 90mins. I just bought a 4lt surface air bottle which is tested every five years so not too bad.

I just got a new one from the dive centre at Redcar, could you sell the other one and get a new one.

I was told the test price was £38 ish so it's not bad.

I looked at a second hand one for £100 but a new one was £140 full and 5 more free fills which means it the real cost was £115 and it's new.

The last time I was down the dive centre at Redcar there was a old bloke from Whitby who picked them up and tested them for him.the price was £35 and I bought a 12ltr 232bar bottle off him for £80.the lad in the test centre said if he was selling the bottle it would of been £100.either way I would buy a big bottle anyway it saves on time going to get a little one filled as it would cost you the same price anyway.
