Rez 4,961
Out. Again. Same place, just for a walk really. Didn't see much around apart from this chap and a pigeon, but couldn't retrieve the bugger. It dropped of its branch onto another thicker branch just below and didn't move... 30 odd feet in the air, stone bloody dead. Typical. Anyway. I dont shoot many sqizzers, I dont know why, hardly see them. Now its getting to Autumn properly, Ive noticed a few more than usual. Went with my 100, it hasn't been out for a while. Pellet struck just below the jaw. Further than I thought. 3 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
55 yars Good walk then, nice to get a squirrel,I think they are a good air rifle quarry,so alert/agile etc makes them a testing one to stalk, out of interest how far was it for you to misjudge the range?? Good question random. I thought, and this just shows how shit my range estimating is, it was 43-45 yards. Turns out to be 53-60. The pellet dropped so so much I thought it must be in the 50's. God knows. It's dropped a full inch anyway. Or just under and inch. Quote Link to post

Coypu Hunter 486
I normally stick a rangefinder in me pocket if I'm wandering around and may need to estimate range quickly, on an unfamiliar piece of ground. Not a criticism, jes' sayin'... Quote Link to post
