zandy01 3,576
Could you plug the old hole with a bit of dowel type thing then redrill and fit stud into where you've plugged ??? Depends how hands on you are really, or maybe a mate or joiner could help.. Visla done my HW100 as described as original owner drilled and fitted stud instead of buying a proper HW100 stud which just replaces existing bolt... Just looks like there's a knot in the wood now but yours would be even better as you'd be covering with stud anyways so wouldn't see nothing... Quote Link to post
night warrior 178
Thanks for replying mate I'll keep that I'm mind as seems a good idea let's see if any body else can help if not will go with that thanks again atb Quote Link to post
Durham John 693
Depends what gun its into and but or fore end. If its front end you could get a metal plate rebated inside with a threaded hole lining up with original hole so the studs puts all the weight through the plate not the hole and no extra holes. David.evans 5,323
As said not to bad in the stock end , plug it And re -drill about 1 inch either way , should be ok Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
Wouldn't that plastic wood filler work? It's tougher than wood when it dries and you could drill it to put the stud in. That's what I'd try first anyway. Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,568
Three matchsticks at right length, fill hole with wood glue, push in match sticks and re screw sling stud. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and leave to set, untouched for a few days or simply use a raw plug.(brown one). Quote Link to post
