Should I Feed It To The Dogs?

Recommended Posts

After bringing home too many rabbits I cooked up the front ends for the dogs and ran out of time so I washed all the rest and put them in he fridge in a couple of carrier bags with the view of taking the meat off the bone the next day. Today there's been a distinctive smell and when I got them out of the fridge some of them had turned blue :icon_eek: I certainly wouldn't eat it but is it ok to give it to the dogs once boiled up?

The blue will be the plastic on the meat ... You get the same with steak that's left in its wrapping to long ... It will be fine for the dogs raw ......

By "plastic" do you mean the membrane around the meat?

What folk round here call working sheepdogs because there not like your typical border collies they come in all shapes and sizes just bred for the job it doesnt matter what they look like so we call them curs like mongrols. My dad had a cur that he would never feed for weeks on end because it would live of dead things he would put food out for it but it was always full and fat so would leave it.

Amazing! How soft are we Southern townies eh? For my four Westies I boil em up and take every little bone out before I give it to them :) Too frightened of the vet bills.

I suppose if a house dog ate some rotten stuff it would probably give it a bad stomach and shit all over the place but once there use to it they will be fine. Some of these dogs must have cast iron guts to cope with it lol.

Sometimes wonder how mine eats the shoite he finds on a daily basis. Once had to pull a meter (stretched) of elastic out of his ass. The worst thing was it had a lump of shit attached at the other end which fired out of his hole as quick as the elastic could contract. Said piece of shit hit me on the leg.... All this in front of the new girl :laugh:

When I was in New Zealand I had a job painting houses and on one job the owner said ' for f**k sake make sure you shut the back gate or the dog (beagle) would get in the neighbours bins'. Sure enough I forgot and the beagle ended up wolfing down a load of fish guts and heads from a few doors down... To make things worse they weren't exactly fresh as the whole street stank with them. Apparently they came back up in the lounge... Not cool.

Completely OT but this reminded me of a story;

A blonde student type trying to work her way through college answers an advert that said there was some painting that wanted doing. \she knopcked on the door and a guy comes out and says "I'm really snowed under here. I'll have to leave you to it. Here's the paint and brushes. There's a porch round the back that wants painting." A couple of hours later she knocks on the front door again and tells the guy she's all finished. He pays her and thanks her for doing a quick job. As she's walking away she says to him, "By the way! That's not a Porch, It's a Ferrari.
