walshie 2,804
We have an old brass bell hanging outside our door which is covered in that greeny grey corrosion. I set to it with a cloth and brasso, then moved onto autosol and after an hour I've managed to clean about 2 square inches back to its former glory. Is there any old wive's cures that would remove this easier? (Preferably with little manual effort)

moxy 617
Clean off the crap with a solvent. Your nail varnish remover will do. Piss on a towel and then wrap it around and leave it for a few days. Keep pissing on the towel regularly to keep it damp. Remove the towel and admire the results
