bigmac 97kt 13,836
Me ,vis and zandy went to the farm last night we got set up then off we went they went one way me another i got the first one sat about 20 yards away i was going to let it go as it was a little one until i saw its eyes or did not as the case would be mixie so i put it to sleep the weapon of choice was the hw97k now as most of you no its very highly tune,d and polished and is very accurate i mean you could split a peace of thread at 50 ,60 yards with her if you could see it that is lol So i could not understand why i was missing loads of them and i mean loads now when we go back to our cars we all ways make our rifles safe and fire off our round that is in the chamber and when i did this all i got was a dull thud when i set her off i thought that was strange Vis and zandy had both got some rabbits and pigeons and after a bit of banter and some thing to eat we fitted the lamps as the light was fading fast and we set off again them one way me another So, so ,far a good night ? I went to reload the 97 pulled the under leaver down smooth as she all ways is no noise at all BUT when i went to put her back into the housing it stopped three inch,s short she would not go back into place for love nor money i had to wrap my hand around her and set it off as soon as i did this she clicked back into place so i loaded her back up again this time no bother so i picked a spot on a fence post and fired and under the lamp beam i saw the pellet fall half way to the post i was only 20 yards away from it and she was twangy as feck But after a good few shots she went back to normal ? putting pellet on pellet but then the twang came back but not as bad Dont no what could be the coarse of this but im off to my granddaughters birthday party this morning and when i come back she is going to be stripped down Im p*ssed off big time BIG TIME and to top it off it started to p*ss down and vis and zandy came back with more rabbits and a hair only got the photo of mine atvbmac  3 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,836
I reckon you might have squashed a pellet in front of the comp tube Mac, don't get that problem on Prosports because they've got that little slot where dropped pellets fall straight through. SPOT ON BUD ,that and a twig stuck in the under leaver mechanism Vislauk just found the squashed pellet to night it was that flat it looked like part of the bear trap thats how i missed it lol :icon_redface: :duh: atvbmac  2 Quote Link to post
