Apologies if the title is spelt incorrectly!

last week I had my hands on a stiff stoat (no joke) it had drowned, long story, and this morning I saw a roe deer at the side of the road bloated and stiff as a board.

Question is does rigamortis, drowning, act of death (other tha. damage) affect taxidermy???

If not Im gutted I didnt keep the stoat, however trying to ram a cold stiff deer into the boot of a company car may not have gone unoticed!

Yes walshie your right. Once established rigor lasts anywhere between 18-36 hours I think.

It all depends on manner of death and the temperatures and location in when rigor sets in and when it ends
