Dig To Pup

went out today for a little mooch been getting told of a local hunter about some earths in a certian area on my permission. ive looked about 5 times and not been able to locate em.. was driving around today looking for new earths while the covers still downish in diffrent spots for next season and had no look finding anything diggable so on way home decided to have a look for the ones i had been told about spotted a small dirt track between 2 houses so followed it down and hit a few feilds with a big bank all the way along.. jumped out the car and jogged down the bank was litterd with setts all looking pretty fresh and not so deep.. chuldent remember if i had a spade in the car i new i had my pups and my hunting bag looked in the back of the pickup and hit the jack pot i had a spade first collar battrey was dead second collar was green checked the locator box battreys 60% lets have it haha tried the first a little 3 holer nothing at home walked further down and the pups pulling from about 20 foot away so checked collar was still green and un clipped him off he went like a rocket.. i had a smoke and turned the locator on and had a little walk around found him at 1.4 cleared a little spot and had a listen chuld hear bumping and a bit of grunting so walked back and got the spade left the locator beeping when i come back it was reading 2.2 followed it up abit and they had settled at 1.0 dead happy days quick 10-15 minite digging and hit a tree root as thick as my leg then the floor gave way either side of it and a shit load of sand fell into the dig now just before it gave way i chuld hear the dog breathing and after if fell threw it went silent so was abit worried it had colapsed ontop of them so started pulling it back with my hands (abit franticly) and seen movement in the dirt so mad a grab for it and it was the quary pulled him and the pup out togeather happy days only his second dig hes aroung 13.5 month now been spot on both times thats deffinatley it till next season for him now .... i said that after the last one tho lol deffo my last dig for a few months now
