WEIHRAUCH HW98 offer??!!

Hi folks a friend giving up his hunting life and he offers me his Weihrauch HW98 in .177 flavour including scope and gun pag for £300 it's like new condition, I got no idea if this price right or above the top please any advice cheers guys

I am no expert but the reviews from people who own one on that gun make it sound like a good deal. Especially if you get Tony at Sandwell to fettle it.

If its as nice as you say, with scope, bag etc then its worth that, perhaps a little gentle negotiation on your part will see another 20-25 quid shaved off the bill it is of course in the superior calibre, and a tune would turn it into a smooth tack driver, in other words, BUY IT

£300 is top wack for that combo offer him £250, from my own experience he would be offered just under £200 from dealers. at the end of the day its cash that talks dont jump in and pay what hese asking.

I would not offer, but i would present £225 in the palm of my hand and then say, " Best i can do, it is a better offer than a dealer will give you".

I personally thing it's a good price. It's always nice to get a rifle for less than what it's being sold for but having had a 98, there worth that much. As good as any HW accuracy wise. Nuff said.

Seems like a decent price for a HW98 rifle and kit in mint nick And it'll be sweetly run-in. You could be a pal and pay him his price, or, as Mark says, stick a wad in your hand and waft it under his nose.

 

Either way you'll come out the winner with what's on offer at the price.
