Pinemartin, Another Common 'rare Species'

Recommended Posts

about one of the creatures i have never seen :hmm: believe it or not never seen a muntjac either :icon_redface:

Saw a muntie today feeding on a roadside verge just outside slough, walked a path 5 minutes later and flushed 3 roe from out the hedgerow.

see them all the time early morning feeding on the motorway verges and my busher puts them up regular when im out with the dogs, very common round herts ,not sure im ever likely to see a pine martin round here though

My neighbour said he thought he had seen one a good few years back where I stay. We don't have them down here so I thought he imagined it.

Until I saw it that was. Never seen it sgsin. I reckon someone let it go and it lasted a wee while.

Iv only seen them in scotland, never thought about it at the time but the place we stayed had something to do with the forestry commision. The no fear of humans could be a sign they have been hand reared/captive bred or parents that have.
