terryd 8,939
We also used to use the cheap engine oil from quicksave at the time obviously wasn't as good as proper stuff but we got through chains at a fair rate any way so it didn't matter much

terryd 8,939
We never used stihl all ways seemed to expensive not sure if they justified the price tag. All ways used big husqvarna's with a nice little 13 inch bar and rakers down and weeee away to go. Also a red brand of saw that I can't for the life of me remember the name of which is odd cause I spent 12 years hanging onto the sodding thing
fox digger 1,086
All we've used for the last 30 odd year in the saws is used engine oil outta the cars after servicing them. Run it through a pair of tights to strain it and its perfect. And to be fair we cut a fair bit!
