First Hunt With My Crazy Mink Washushe

Recommended Posts

Great job you done there mate, but guy int pub said be very careful, that mink does that to wrong dog and its gonna end up a scarf

Yeah, I'll be working with him on that one. Attacking dogs when you only weigh 3 lbs is NOT a good habit to have!

That's some serious progress from day one. Felt a bit sorry for the dog lol.

Yeah, Carl's use to that crap. When he's not hunting with our mink, my buddy uses Carl to hunt raccoons and wild cat. So getting bit is just a normal part of life for him. A 22 lbs raccoon does a lot more damage than a little 3 lbs mink!

This is my buddy Cade with his dog Carl and a 22.5 lb raccoon he killed without the help of any other dogs.

Lol that nasty wee bugger wouldn't last two mins with my old dogs and they were steady as fec with ferrets ;) that's gonna make for a hard work hunting partner if it don't snap out of that shit mate

Yeah, it was his first time being free around the dog. He'll get bored of chasing the dog, once he has some more success with real game.

brilliant videos and brilliant stuff your doing with them mink. iv a big hob ferret that done the exact same to my wee terrier but he doesnt do it to my lurcher, cause she doesnt take his crap off him. Id love to get a mink but at the moment dont have the time to train one and its illegal to keep them here without a licence. have you had much success training wild ones? Keep up the good work ☺.

Yeah, the wild ones can be trained too. Sometimes they are actually easier to train, since they know the value of food. It just depends on the mink you happen to be working with.

Don't think he'll get board of chasing the dog as he didn't get board of ragging your glove ha ha. Once again minky you have done a great job keep it up

Actually, it's funny that you should say that. Washushe has been on 2 more hunts since we filmed this video, and during the hunt today he completely ignored the dog, and focused on killing the rabbits like we wanted him to! I knew he would figure it out eventually, but I really didn't expect him to start ignoring the dog this easily!
