Cam Belt Change

edit: garage prices, probaly looking at 80-120 labour

 

the 1.7 are really bad for the edu solder splitting, normaly you get away with resoldering it and it will last for a while. might have to replace it in the long run, so if it dies on you, and theres no fuel getting to the engine, remember that one. ecu sits on top of engine, edu is on the back, easy to get if you jack up. really easy to change.

180 quid ... its a simple job on them, no special tools required , lock the cam and crank up with a M, 8 and M10 bolt .. most mechanicly minded people would be able to do it
