walshie 2,804
I've got an old Vauxhall Combo 1.7 di van and it's just turned 100,000 miles. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for changing the cam belt and tensioner (if there is one) Ta.
Joe1888 672
belt, tensioner and water pump? i recommend you buy the parts from auto vaux mate, gen vaux parts cheaper than dealer http://www.autovaux.co.uk/ then pay someone to fit them, garage will use pattern parts and dealer will charge to much Edited February 18, 2015 by Joe1888
Joe1888 672
edit: garage prices, probaly looking at -120 labour the 1.7 are really bad for the edu solder splitting, normaly you get away with resoldering it and it will last for a while. might have to replace it in the long run, so if it dies on you, and theres no fuel getting to the engine, remember that one. ecu sits on top of engine, edu is on the back, easy to get if you jack up. really easy to change.
