bigmac 97kt 13,842
Cardboard one,s lol As soon as we got to the farm i went to set the nv up and sit and have a plink as i had made some cardboard cut outs of rabbits so i set one out at 30 yards and settled down to plink away . but they were all over the place ,even with Sean standing near by and telling me ,,,up,,, down...left... right ...mag after mag after mag and still all over the place so i put the same one up at 15 yards and set away again still the same ,,but this time got near to where i wanted to be ,,,,,,, then off it went again then on then off i could see Sean was itching to get away hunting so i told him to go and i would do it my self witch meant i had to walk over after every shot so i could see where the pellet had hit but it was the same result By this time i was up a height i could feel my temper climbing ,then i thought i should fill the rifle up as i had let off six mags , on the way back to the tank i thought it must be me but it was ok the other night it zero,d in no trouble just a few shots and it was spot on ? Then i thought is it my head moving the nv when i look through it so i took hold of the nv and it was not tightened up it had worked its self loose a bit so i tightened her up and for some reason the silencer was loose to . In my hast to get set up and start plinking i had not screwed the silencer on properly ,as the scorpion dose not fit in the gun bag with the silencer fitted ,what a plonker , So from now on its 1,, get the gear ready 2 ,, make sure every thing it tight 3 ,,KEEP CALM So i filled her up and set about zeroing her in again but this time it was no trouble and she zero,d in strait away, whew , I then set about putting the targets up from 10 yards up to 35 yards and used my mill dots to hit the other targets and so i could see the difference in size throw the nv And i must say them rabbits the other night were no where near where i thought they were lol Vislauk(Sean) came back and asked if i wanted a cuppa , so off i went and i asked him have you got out he say,d you no me 2 I told him i was pleased for him and that it makes a change him getting them instead of me After our cuppa,s he went off and i went back to my plinking I set her up this time at 30 yards and set about having some fun ,,,,this time,,,lol And even played with the t38 ir zooming her in and out, boy are they good ,fecking good to say the least God knows what the t50 or the t67 ir,s are like by this time i wanted to go on the hunt so packed the targets up and headed off but not much about and i bumped into Sean on the way back to our tanks (Sean has one to but a disco) We had another cuppa and a natter and set about gutting his rabbits Sean put his hw100 SPORTER yes VM sporter away and say,d he was going home I stayed and had another walk around but only saw one so i packed up to and headed home . But still happy with what i had learn,d with the nv But as Sean had say,d in another thread ,,,,,was true to his word,,,,,,,,,you learn the nv and ill SHOOT THE RABBITS :toast: and he did just that nice one bud The cut out rabbit with 10 on it was the one i used to zero the nv in with when i first started you will see how many pellets i went throw lol Until i realized the nv was loose and the silencer was slack lol Daz39 watch out im coming for your rabbits :tongue2: atvbmac  Quote Link to post

Craig Fosse 286
Something I'm very jealous about as I have never done any lamping with nv before. It's also not allowed in jersey which sucks! Nice one you two, nice to see the game is still going well!! 1 Quote Link to post
