iworkwhippets 13,169 Posted February 4, 2015 Report Share Posted February 4, 2015 Only ever been copt in the field twice in nearly 60 years, better off out on your own, ive been spotted many a time just lately, being somewhere i shouldnt be, they must say to emselves, look at that silly old bugger we a whippet, suits me, its what i do, what i love, i will never give up, couple of years back, my number plate was taken, gets home coppers waiting for me, give me a bollocking, told me to go to such a place , and ok so i went, heaving with hares eh, ive a working dog, and work it will get, its lurchers the land owners dunna like many a time ive asked for permission, there reply, lurchers no, my reply ive only got a whippet, permission granted, cant grumble, ive had some fantastic outings we a vast array of dogs over the years, now im down to just the 1 whippet, and having the time of my life 7 Quote Link to post

bunny tickler 876 Posted February 4, 2015 Report Share Posted February 4, 2015 in the old days on the fens you saw the farmer out in the fields keep an eye on him you was safe enough lol ,then mobile phones came & the job was fecked , a lot of the trouble now is deer poachers burning barns down ,tear arseing all over the fields at night threatening anyone who pulls them , a lot of farmers tell me they just phone the cops rather than go & chase them ,thats why theres metal welded gates & huge tree trunks blocking all the field entrances in north yorks , 2 Quote Link to post
