Duck Pond Feeding.

Recommended Posts

I've heard spuds are good BUT they can poison the water so if any animals on the land drink it they could die and you'd soon lose your permission so be careful.

Barley wheat done the job for me, hard work getting down to feed the pond during daylight whilst working too tho, don't want to disturb them ideally during the night

I've heard all kinds of things will work and had plenty of success with all the above (not tried bananas) but the most important thing is to make sure there is always food available otherwise the duck will go elsewhere, particularly if you are in an area where there are several people feeding flight ponds.

Also make sure you have a good flight line into the pond, you want a shallow part to feed them, start off small, only feed what is been eaten, they will start to come in numbers and you need to up the feed, water + food = ducks.

I have fed some ponds where you think no chance of duck, and ended up with 200+ ducks coming in every evening
