whats the best time of year to trap squirrels ??? atb

No idea, but most of my squirrel work tends to turn up in the slightly warmer months.

 

The simple answer to the question is.... whenever they need trapping!

I trap them all year round,there always hungry

From a conservation stance, they want hammering for spring. From an efficiency stance, I wouldn't know. But there's no reason they can't be had year round.

When it was cold in the winter they used to disappear this year its a hard frost and there still raking about i would trap them now there hunger might help trap them

Late Winter/Early Spring is undoubtedly the best time of year as there is little natural food and low ground cover.

 

It's also the time of year they do the most damage.

 

With pests like this it's best to campaign against them all year round, but certainly some seasons are better than others
