It's one thing to discriminate just on the basis of colour or race, but it's quiet another to feel uncomfortable when your area or culture become unrecognisable.

 

It don't make you a "small minded bigot" if you have a genuine concern that the culture you grew up with or the area you grew up in is being destroyed.

 

Historically this country has always had immigration and years ago most of those coming here wanted to be part of us, to be british and buy into a world respected culture.

 

Now, we have ghettos, the inhabitants of which have no intention of intergrating.......the fact is, many of them hate us and our way of life, they see us as disgusting.

So it's a bit unfair to keep telling the people who's roots here go back hundreds or thousands of years that THEY are being bigots if they raise their hand and say "hang on, this don't sit well with me" !!

 

It's all too easy to call a realist a racist in this day and age........f**k, even the law is against you !!!

If someone is racially inclined then let them crack on. There is racism in every country of the world and every caste creed or religion , where the bigotry comes is when blatant racists claim not to be and make excuses for it . . read some of the comments on these posts LOL some are made in a well reasoned sustainable way and raise many good and valid points but the rest are tirades of boll*cks with the sole intention of provoking others into closet racism or bigotary personally I don't give a flying fukc what any one thinks of me 99.9% don't know me only that I am Muslim. Fair post matey, however the celebration of culture is definitely a one way street........if anything is going to foster racism it's things like Black Culture Month and celebrating Divali in a Historically Christian country.

 

I asked a woman who was out giving out Black Culture Month T-Shirts in my town, I said "when's white culture month start?"

 

She looked at me like I had just murdered a kitten !!

 

So how does that make plain old white English me feel ?.......we have a culture, what's wrong with that whatever colour you are?

Hmm I don't like to think of myself as a small minded bigoted rascist . As I hate everyone the Asians Africans the whole of Europe . Oh Americans South Americans , Eskimos oops sorry Inuits Er the Scottish Irish Welsh . was the kitten you murdered Wilf black or white culture , faith and tradition are a personal thing some parts of culture and tradition need to change but who will bell the cat . I don't expect any one to change on my behalf so why should they expect me to change to suit them when I hear Britsh white Christian isn't the Queen of Germanic lines and Phil from the greek family or suppose that's ok as long as white and Christian.Come to think of it even the royal family have Muslim ancestors from the Islamic period in Spain.
