secretagentmole 1,701
Got in the woods again. Took the Mk3, got in early after checking zero in the farmyard. It was the best days roost shooting I have had. Everything came right, close shots, far shots, threading through branches. After 7 I took a photo as the light was fading! Another 4 hit the deck after that, but the light was virtually gone. There are also another 3 in watery graves guarded by brambles. I know that ditch is 3 ft deep and it is currently full so feck that! Home and debreasted the lot, so plenty of pigeon stir fries to look forward to! 4 Quote Link to post

mattwhite 1,993
Mix them with some rabbit and some cheap turkey leg meat and thats the protein sorted for a really tasty casserole! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Why mix, slice 3 or 4 breasts, oven bake at 200 degrees c for about 5 minutes. Stir fry some Chinese vegetables and put in a sachet of Plum and Hoisin sauce. Put the pigeon back in for about minutes to finish off and absorb some sauce, strain and serve. Does not need turkey and rabbit, delicious on it's own. Quote Link to post

John Stott 202
Nice one! Ever tried pigeon sausages? Just throw in the minced meat and your other bits as usual. Comes out a bit like venison sausage and low fat. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Sounds a good idea that. If I ever get another session like that one I will give it a try! Quote Link to post
