Just a quick one really.

I was out in the back garden setting zero when i clocked a couple of bandits in the pines at the bottom of the garden scrapping without a care in the world.

Obviously this is an opportunity not to be sniffed at and as zero had just been found and set i took the cross hairs to this fellas head and settled the argument he was having with number 2, who i hoped would hang around but didnt, he took off at top speed but never mind, 1 is better than none.

What kind of range were you shooting at? I find the beggars never keep their heads still for long enough to get off a headshot, so tend to go for the upper chest.

yes they are twitchy beggars but i just caught him off guard with a head shot while the 2 of them were eyeing each other up. 38 yards from where i was sat to the tree so not a bad shot and open arable land at the back with a banking so couldnt be safer.

Shooting Matt ,

I often shoot Magpies with a heart/lung shot - the Air Arms Field really slams home in .177.

The Magpie population has strongly increased around here too.
