picked up a cobra merlin want to add ir illuminator t20 any good for this unit to reach 60 yrds

The t20 is not guaranteed to work with merlin, it has been known to work with some of the challenger and excelon units, but not all, you might be better off with a n1000 laser

my mate used a T20 with his merlin and it was not that good at all. but someone on the bbs said the T20 worked fine with there merlin

but i would go for a n1000 or i have got a n800 for sale which is the same as the n1000 but with out the adjustable power.

Join the night vision forum look for marky 610 he makes it's ask him he does a hell of alot of testing with them so he will probably tell you but some don't work as stated

I have a merlin here hily, your better off with a n1000 laser to be honest, you may struggle getting an LED IR to work with it.

i think you will find the cobra merlin uses the 805nm infrared wavelength,unfortunately the standard T-20ir/nm800ir etc use 850nm so arent a match,if you could get an led torch that works on the same wavelength it would produce a much "cleaner" image than the onboard laser though....if not,just get a more powerful laser.
