air gun ant 1,666
I agree with you mate, I don't shoot foxes or anything (exept crows and the odd pigeon) till September but I do have to do the odd job with the ferrets when asked, as do the lads with terriers. I also agree with pheasants being thick a f**k! Lol born to die! But trespass in persuit of game was a much more serious offence in days gone by than it is now, and as per your original comment, permission has always been needed (to stay within the law) and if you didn't give a f**k about staying within the law then, why would the ban make a difference to you now? It's the "I'm hard and I don't give a f**k" attitude that's attracted so many dick heads to the dog game in the first place.
South hams hunter 8,996
Prior to ban you couldn't get Done for killing a fox on land you didn't have permission if you used a lurcher as it wasn't trespassing in pursuit
air gun ant 1,666
Ok fair enough mate, I'm always willing to be educated could they say you were after hares? Or would it just be trespass? And if they were glad of the free pest control would it not have been easier just to knock the door and save any hassle?
dillydog 8,523
You could be done for causing unnecessary cruelty, if any dog showed any injuries that would be enough to get you charged. IE you didn't have permission therefore there was no reason for either the death of the fox or any injuries to any animal in pursuit. This was pre ban too Edited August 10, 2014 by dillydog
