gnipper 6,917
You'll be best putting them on their own and then giving them carophyll because it will affect your other birds.
stevemac 449
if you have your birds in cabinets be sure to put the coloured birds on the bottom row as you may see coloured feathers coming out in your non coloured birds as they moult. that stuff has a way of spreading every where. Put the canaries in a cage on there own for now just need to actually find this stuff locally before buying it off the net where do you lads get yours from ?? Also how much you put in there water mine all get mineral water with a drop of moultone or tonic is this ok or not ? Only wanted a few birds as pets but searching up last night it's quite a serious old game lol. Was looking for chickweed and dandelions this morning whilst walking the dogs ... mule123 112
dont and i mean dont put it in the water it gets shot all over and wasted. u can use a pepper pot an sprinkle a bit on a cut apple or just mix it with softfood u can make your own with couscous an a boiled egg and remove the seed so they got to eat it, then put the seed back later ..there droppings will be pink to red if your doin it right .....atb Edited July 22, 2014 by mule123
lurchers 2,998
Mines in the water mater like it has been for years, dont give your finches colour feed as there is nothing worse than a goldfinsh with red/yellow wing bars mate.

DO NOT pick any wild food for your birds where dogs pee mate,it'll kill your birds ,but i've used colour both ways in a cage, water and on egg food and found i got better results colour on the bird wise in the water but my god it was messy than sprinkled on the egg food as it took a bit of working out the right dose to use without either over or under colour feeding them.
