Unwanted Help !

Recommended Posts

Got some unwanted help this morning dressing some rabbits I'd shot. Got them with the night vision and left them out for an hour until it got light to go and pick them up and found them like this!

They were right down to the backbone, the beaks on those crows must have some power !

Bit of a gory pic but never mind !

Magpie numbers are ridiculous and then the environmentalists are wondering where all the song birds have gone.

Duh, maybe it's because you've cut back on shooting without really understanding that shooters actually care about and manage the environment, especially pest species, and keep the environment in balance, not just shoot everything in sight!

In my own garden, I have a pond and I regularly have 5 magpies come down together to steal fish food off the surface to eat. Makes for some spectacular fights though!

It's like having Fight Club in your own back garden.

Cedric. Have a look at the general licences, (apologies if you have). Lesser black-backed Gull.

Not sure on the rounds. Not much body to a gull. Shotgun: I would imagine a No6 would do the job.

Wish they would put them on the general licences for Wales so as we can kill them. Loads n loads of them where I work and live. They are on the Licences but only to 'damage or destroy the nests or to take or destroy the eggs'. Only three species though: Lesser Black-Backeed Gull, Greater Black-Backed Gull and Herring Gull. Dont fancy climbing buildings n stuff looking for eggs n nests.
