Saluki Bull Grey?

Hi guys, I was thinking about getting a saluki bull grey as a lamp dog, but I don't know much about them! also what would your ideal lamp dog be? Any help appreciated! Thanks George.

I have a saluki bull whippet grey, wouldn't own any other cross now tbh, saluki and bull go hand in hand and create very capable animals!

Easy to train, can be slow to mature, like any bull cross you need the right bull.........you could do worse.

Get a dog to suit what you can put under it no good with a dog off that cross just for rabbits its a waste but in my time with dogs as a all rounder dont think you will go wrong nothing worse than watching the dog watch some thing run off

So what would youre opinion's be on a dog thats just used for rabbits?i already have a little whippet,decent little ferreting dog,good nose and would run through a brick wall to make a catch but some of the ground I work is really quite heavy and rough and noticed in the winter he picked up a few strains etc.in the near future i would be thinking of getting another dog to use on the lamp especially and was thinking about a 1/2 whippet x grey x collie?opinions?

I've got one and she's fine on rabbits, not many get away, turns her hand to what i ask of her, got a lot of heart and determination and that's all i ask. I would say though some make quite a big size, mines 24tts and i think that's about right for most quarry, seen some about 28tts and i think for just rabs might be a bit big, but end of the day, get whatever you think you will be happy with really
