Crow And Magpies Attack.

Recommended Posts

I was working on a roof in my village today by the side of an old oak tree. Starlings were nesting and rearing their young in this tree, at a guess i`d say 3 or 4 nests.

I watched a large crow flying past, suddenly it decided to attack these starlings and young, the tree exploded with adult starlings flying out and the crow started to kill and eat the young one by one with the starlings going mad flying about.

Next two large Magpies joined in the killing, not eating, they just kept killing until all were dead, even throwing the young out of the nest when dead and then their last act was to go down and check all those young on the grass were truly dead.

How i detest Magpies and Crows. :censored:

Out on a new permission tonight with my trusty HW 100 KT after - you guessed it !

They have been at it round here too mark. I have been keeping my eyes on a pheasant nest over in the back field at home. (Not my field but its a permission) and my other half said the other day 2 of the black and white buggers nobbled 3 chicks before the hen shoed the rest into the undergrowth, then that night i caught 1 on the floor in the field opposite killing a brood of muskovy chicks!! My stomach churns and my heartbeat races when i see them now so im with you all the way pal. Bag as many as possible. They have fledged here now as i saw 7 on the telephone wire in the back but that was monday and it was 50 yards and mega windy. AAAAAARRRRGGGHH!!!!
