blackmaggie 3,377
kid most grounds in the lower leagues had the wooden stands with wooden flooring they were like long wooden benches I think a fire was always a great risk at that time its just ashame it had to cost lifes before something was done to change it
Astanley 11,634
Hillsborough isn't , brought up continually because it was any worse or more important, than Bradford , it was a fight for justice that kept it in the public eye , and keeping it in the public eye was the only chance those families had of getting justice . I agree that the PL the FA and even the individual clubs need to look at themselves for not marking the anniversary nothing short of shameful.

gnasher16 31,424
I remember us getting a horrible welcome in Cagliari at the World Cup 1990 by a bunch of Juventus fans they just wanted English blood......i remember seeing flags written in English that said........." Sheffield - Gods Will "................i never quite got that out my head and always made me wonder if Liverpool ever really did enough about that. 3 horrendous tragedies in such a short space of time very sad time for football. Astanley 11,634
Heysel was a shameful thing for Liverpool ,and it wasn't made any better by the shabby way the club handled it , your right , they could have done so much more , they didn't officially apologise for over 20 years . Over the years its been fans groups that made all the efforts and approaches , there is still a lot of Juve fans who wont have it , and who can blame them ?

The Seeker 3,048
I I think the TV football presenter Gabby Logan was in the ground that day as a little girl. Shame there is not respect for those dead lads and lasses that we're at the Bradford ground. Tragic day.

No stan the real shame is the The c**ts who let the game be held in a ground Not fit to play a game of that magnitude were not made accountable. We rely on safety. Guide lines. Heysel should never been used simple , as for lfc and juve dont think for one minute that any money changed hands for. Tosh rush !!!!!!!
