Outlaw Pete 2,224
I just can't let it go by, unremarked, that Taz made the extremely decent gesture of saying he would get some of his seasons birds shipped across to me. If I could pick them up in Belfast. Unfortunately, my initial excitement was soon quashed by a quote for what it'd take me to get to those birds alone! Anyway; Kudos to Taz2010. He didn't make a song and dance of it. Just offered me the chance of some birds, privately. I hope he doesn't mind my publicly mentioning his decency. And now, inspired by my own reply to Taz's PM. I'm off to put up another post. I feel most at home, and free to speak as I naturally do, here. Thus, I'd like to put it out there. For the record. For anyone, from any other forum, that has a view on my inability to get at the colour canaries I so want. I need to talk to those f**kers. And get This one off my f**king chest!

Outlaw Pete 2,224
Stigly; I spoke to my driver, last night. Belfast is a €230.00 run, for me. I mentioned Enniskillen (a sort of land mark to we of the bogs) as somewhere possibly more approachable. He said that we'd have to go through there and Belfast is a further eighty miles ( Jeezuss F**king Christ!!! It doesn't look that far on a map!) Now, as far as I ever remember hearing; Ennis' is forty miles from here. Shocking, isn't it? Anyway, I've just given a handy break down of the distances (and associated costs) I'm looking at in another post. Take a look. It's f**king eye watering!

Outlaw Pete 2,224
Chiddling; As ever, mate, you Know you have my undying love Pesticle is simply the best thing that's ever happened to me. And it was You who stepped up and got her for me. I still have the PM's between FOD and I. Even now, they make f**king terrifying reading! I was moving heaven and earth ~ and getting no closer! FOD was enduring the pressure of heaven and earth, with a good dose of pure f**king hell thrown in. I genuinely believe Pesticle ~ through absolutely No fault of FOD's ~ was hanging by a hair. And there were forces of purest f**king evil sawing away at even that. I wouldn't like to say if we had a day or so to spare. As ye say though; It's a fair old f**king hike, to me. Simple fuel costs alone make me an expensive target. Obviously, I have to seek a balance. Even the most heart stoppingly, ridiculously guaranteed show winners out there can be had for a couple of ton or so. And I've no interest in showing! I just want pretty pets. My sort of stuff averages out at €25.00. So, four pairs ~ coincidentally the most I'd be looking for ~ is two ton. As ye say yeself, mate; Paying a price for the gear. Then paying the same to get it? Bit f**king harsh, by anyones standards! Anyway ..... I put up a bit of fence, today. I'm chuffed with that!

Outlaw Pete 2,224
Demographics, Stigger. People in cities keep canaries. I'm not sure there's a 'city' in Any county adjoining Leitrim. Lads going back and forth tend to be from Dublin. Cork. Waterford. Belfast. Stuff like that. Places that look like London, packed with Irish people Those guys simply have no earthly reason to suddenly swerve miles and miles out of their way to pass this far to the barren west side. There's nothing out here but bogs. Cattle. And me!
jimmy boy 79
Where you at mate I may be able to sort some birds out for you I don't post much on here but pm me
fireman 11,473
Is there not a greyhound transporter that goes to and from belfast that would take a bird cage in a dog crate instead of the dog?.
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Fires; Those boys tend to like running up and down the east coast, mate. I think they go from Liverpool to Belfast. Cut down through Drogheda and hit the pedal for Dublin. Right on down the Riviera to Wexford. There's civilisation over that way, see? I've had all that from them when trying to find one to shift a Dog for me. Never have managed that either. Honestly, mate, I'm not winging. I'm just answering people with the simple facts! Leitrim might as well be the Mojave desert. No c***t's got any reason to come near here. Unless they're heading out to Mayo. And That f**king wilderness is only rumoured to exist!
