bobcullen79 1,495
Hard to say without seeing the nest, location and actual size of the egg, preferably the bird too lol. Looks like a Goldfinch or Linnet. Could even be one of the Tits though. Dont get caught taking photo`s, you might end up handing some cash over to the crown..
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Bob's right, mate. Only way to know beyond reasonable doubt would be to see the bird. I'm sure a few of the lads on here could have a good crack at it for ye. But, seeing the hen on them is pretty irrefutable. Edited to add; Given the time of year? If that's a wild nest? My money's on robin

Shamo 319
I would suspect it isn't wild Goldy, going by the Nest type and location.

fireman 11,201
Robin or Dunnock ?,but it looks a full clutch so do sit away back and you should see and ID the cock bird going in and out feeding the hen who should be sat on them. .
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Robin or Dunnock ? Dunnock eggs are sky blue, mate Robins tend to nest about knee to waist height. Often as not in a wall or cover against a wall. They're nesting early (now). Their eggs and nest lining look good for those featured. Truth is? I really couldn't imagine what else it might be, now that we have confirmation that it's a wild nest
