Another Dog Bite

Recommended Posts

scandalous, especially since the dog was supposedly under the handlers control, not running loose or unsupervised. and what a stupid thing for the "dog behaviour expert" to say, basically if a dog is unable to move away from a stranger it is OK for it to bite!

Sorry. No. This is exactly why I won't let the great unwashed any where near my f**king Dogs. Or vice versa.

Because, I've found, it's only the intervention of f**king People that can bring shit down on my Dogs.

There's this guy. Out doing his thing, with his Dog. Enter The Public!

Suddenly, out of no where, the poor guy's having some chavvy propelled towards his working, and worked up Dog. " Be nice, darling. Say 'Nice Doggy ....! "

What's he do? Shout; " Will you please f**k off, and get your f**king kid away from my Dog. Idiot?! " And end up pilloried by the Daily Sewerage (And, seemingly, this place)?

Or, does he do the socially / politically correct thing; Restrain his Dog. As discreetly as possible.

And wear a strained mask of a smile, as some irresponsible f**king idiot thrusts their child into his Dogs face. Unbidden and unasked for. And, of course; The c**ts now after Compensation, FFS.

And here's all you " Dog Men " screaming, " Execute the f**king thing!!! " ?!

With attitudes like yours on side; Dogs don't need Anti's

pete, without meaning to start an argument, you say you wont let people near your dogs, so how do you enforce this? i'm sure you dont completely remove them from any situation where they would see a stranger as you dont seem the type to fail to socialise your dogs properly. do you not tell people to keep away? i do at times, i simply say "dont touch the dog please" in a firm but polite tone. no need to get pilloried for saying that! and indeed, the only response i've ever had is apologies! would have been very simple for the chap in question to say to the kids parents to keep the child back.

but if the man owns a dog which has obviously not been proven to be safe with kids, why the f**k is he letting one touch it? that is the part of this which is wrong.

Well something not un-similar happened to be the other day minus the bite (because my dog likes kids). I'm walking down the street and a woman with a 5 or 6 year old daughter are walking towards me. The little girl sees my dog and runs up to it to stroke him etc. I know my dog is fine with kids but how does this woman know my dog is ok for her daughter to run up to it? Plenty of dodgy dogs out there. Luckily the worse my dog does is like the kid to death and wack her silly with his tail lol. My daughter has been brought up to not approach other peoples dogs full stop.

More chance of getting an ice cube to argue, on the internet, mate ;) I just tend to state my own view, then f**k off. I rarely enough return to a thread, having spoken on it. I don't really care.

But, as you're asking me some pretty specific things here? Sure. I'll try to answer your questions. I try to be polite :) Sorry I've taken so long. Been busy.

Beast; I was in the kitchen, this morning. I first heard the Dogs, in here, warn. Then I heard a car horn.

I went out there and, only on seeing me, smiling and coming forward ~ alone ~ did the meter man open his car door. Despite being outside my secured gate.

His greeting words were to the effect of; 'Ah. You have ye Dogs locked away then? I'm safe.'

Now, this was a new guy. He's never been here before. I maybe meet the meter reader two or three times a year. Never seen this bloke before. Yet, he knew all about my Dogs.

Everyone here does. The Census lady? F**k me, how often do I see her? Once in how many years? Yet, she knows damn well to stay in her motor and wait till I approach her.

Not really sure, thinking about it, what that says about my Dogs or me. Everyone, equally, knows not to even come Near this place after dark. Not without phoning ahead to warn me. But, that's fear of me. Not my Dogs.

Socialised? I'm barely socialised myself now, Beast. I have the medical reports to prove it. And this rubs off on my Dogs. We're an extremely happy little crew, truth to tell. We just don't like outsiders coming near us. Only, I know to 'smile'. My Dogs are more likely to ..... well, be Dogs.

Where's all this leave us with that bloke and his collie? Well; I can sympathise. Sometimes, people can just be c***s. And, when they are, we don't all, always know just how to respond to them.

I was out on the land one day. I had my Dogs with me, of course. One being a particularly treacherous bitch. Slept in my arms every night of the long years I had her. But f**king murder around anyone else!

Postman came up, in his van. Then, clearly seeing me and the Dogs, he Got Out Of his f**king van!!! :icon_eek: Now, this is the moment where Spock says, " Illogical, Captain! " And some f**ker else says; " Spot the Deliberate Mistake! " And ye own mind is screaming, " WTFF?!? "

You haven't asked for this. You can barely comprehend that this is unfolding. You sincerely Wish It Wasn't Happening! Then, in that eternally stretched out, slow motion moment, where you'd like to come over all SAS and command; " Get Back In The Van! " ~ in a voice he wouldn't argue with .....

I locked up. The bitch locked on. I now collect my post in town.

So, yeah. I can see where that guy may well be coming from. No one asked those people to send their kid rushing up to his Dog. No one asked him if it was okay to do so! He was just minding his own business when f**king People came along and interfered.

I won't take any of my Dogs into town with me. Because, I've long since learned that; Nothing can get ye Dogs in the firing line quite like the presence of f**king people!

I hope that gives ye my 'answer'?

pete that is a funny and honest post, and I guess there is a reason you dont let folks near your hounds - you know their temperaments, and what you are (or are not!) comfortable with. i know we all have our own opinions, but from where i'm stood i wouldnt be letting strangers pet my dog if i had no proof it was trustworthy

There we go then, Beast. I generally like your posts ~ agree with them or not, they tend to have thought and substance.

But, now, ye see? It's being postulated, by some breast beating, new internet hard baboon on the block, that I'm talking " Shite ".

 Ye think I want to engage with That sort of 'dialogue'?

Like I said; I've said what I had to say.

" There is a happy land where only children live.
You've had your chance and now the doors are closed sir, Mr. Grown up.
Go away sir "

David Bowie. 1970.

Now, I'll go away. Leave the baby baboons to play. I don't care for their worlds, much less their hard typed words, clenched fists and hot little faces :bye:
