What Is The Proper Term For A Person Who Hunts With Ferrets?

Recommended Posts

Do you not have to study ferretology and after 4 years at an honours degree course you become a ferret technician?

You can do a masters and be Dr. Ferret.

Alternatively, if you have the reanimated corpse of several ferrets body parts sown together, you can be Dr Ferretstein.

Feck knows where he gets this term minkenry,,,I hate it,,, in fact as interesting as your posts are,, I have stoped reading them,,, cos your name annoys me,,,

I stopped reading them because he comes across as a proper bellend!!

The guy has trained a Mink to hunt and has made some good catches and shared them.

Aye, he might be American and have a lot of the strange traits they have.

But he's a damn sight more interesting that 90% of the folk on here. . . . . .

He's American, it comes with the territory. At least he's not fat?

And at the end of the day he's the only person I've ever seen on here that has claimed to have some kind of wonderful and weird breed of mustelid for hunting. . . . . and then actually proved it with videos and photos.

When i first seen the topic 'I HUNT WITH MINK' ... and seen it had reached a few pages...

I thought id open the topic to see a load of comments along the lines of...

'You talk sh*t pal'....

'Deluding f*cker' ...

Then was surprised he had videos and proof... that opened peoples eyes...

Seems arrogant... but like you said...

Hes american  ...

Regardless of who he is more interesting than or where he's from the tone of his posts leave a lot to be desired, especially when people are offering help and advice...

I agree Jai, he does post some interesting stuff, but when you're intending on writing a book about your exploits do you not think it would make sense to to stick to what you know? :hmm:

I hadn't seen that mate. I agree with what you say, but don't find it particularly arrogant (the way he responded, not his thoughts). There have been a lot worse on here as you know.

I'll take the Americanisms for the videos of the mink hunting fish. . . . . . it seems a fair enough trade!

However . . . . . why do folk feel the need to write books about things that folk have written about before. . . and done so with more experience and articulation.

If he had said he was writing a paper on training mink for hunting, I'd have said, worth a read. . . . but a book?

As said why ask for terms advice etcetera when it,s for a book stick to writing what you know about , but the few American books I own on ferrets are little more than laminated phamplets
