F**k me, Chidder; What do Want from ye boots? And why, in gods name, aim to pay £50.00 for them?!

I bought a bog standard pair of steelies, in the builders merchants. €30.00. They lasted me four years, till I ripped one on barbed wire. A freak accident.

Granted, I did then realise the sole and heel were all but frazzled away. But, they'd been perfectly comfortable, in town and country, all through the seasons.

Replaced those with a €7.00 pair of Dunlop's. Spent a couple of months being almost reduced to tears on a daily basis!

Even walking on a pavement, in those f**king things, was misery! Might as well have put Durex' on my feet!

Now, I have another pair of the steelies. And I'm happy again.

Being around horses, I Need the steel toecaps. But, the steel lined sole is the clincher, mate!

All the fancy f**king tread patterns in the world are absolutely useless, in an otherwise rubber boot, if every stone ye tread on feels like a three pin plug under a bare foot.

I honestly wouldn't give tuppence for a rubber boot without a steel girded sole.

Chidder; Could you (Should you) not then look beyond the boot and look to your personal, physical snags instead?

Have ye tried any of the various 'Sports Injury Support' stuff out there?

News paper in the foot of ye boot is good for warmth. Add a pair of 'Commando' socks and ye good to go. Elasticated ankle support thing optional.

Knees? I honestly can't see what Any rubber boot could do for a knee. Foot to ankle alignment would have to sort that, long before it reached the knee. Surely?

Have ye tried filling the boots with mealworms ....? :whistling:

After much thought and research I have just ordered the Aigle Parcours Iso 2.

I will put a review on in 6 months.

The Seeland Allround has let me down after 12 months. Some lads are saying that 12 months is reasonable from an £80 pair of wellies that get hammered daily. New ones cost £140 so 3 seasons would be nice.
