secretagentmole 1,701
Took Spike back to the roost this evening, no pigeons to be seen, think they have been shotgunned to a state where they have temporarily moved roost, happens sometimes. So there am I stood waiting for those who do not come. When there was the serenad of car klaxons and one landed on a branch. I managed to get a good line up and shot the bird. One shot straight down and in the ditch. Out through the barbed wire, fight through the branches, picked it up and heck, this is a hen! Big hen! I was going to use the night vision, but the moon was that damned bright I was leaving a shadow, so not so good being obvious to the bunnies! So one pheasant dinner and out! 1 Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
looks like a good vehicle gun actualy..replace the tripod with a flat bit sticking forward a few inch and rubber rap for a nice lean to on the window without having to 'hang out the sitting posistion'. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
It tasted nice, as it was an old hen bird I casseroled it with shallots, celery, carrots and some Knorr chicken stock in the slow cooker, served with mashed potatoes! Quote Link to post
