No-one was injured in the incident in the Newbridge area, near Edinburgh, at around 9.30pm, police said. The A8 has been closed in both directions near Edinburgh Airport and is expected to remain shut until mid-morning as police investigate. Police Scotland urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them. The force said: "Police Scotland apologise for the disruption to traffic which will result from this road closure and urge motorists to find alternative routes for their morning journeys.
