Both them cu*ts are guilty of neglect and which ever way you look at it they are liable. :(

Couldn't agree more Matti :notworthy:. It was mentioned in a post earlier about not leaving kids to play in the front garden! I feel just the same. from our house to the road is 40 odd feet, the road that passes the house is a typical country road with all sorts of weirdo's slowly cruseing past which could be malicious or not but I won't be taking the chance, my Daughter is 7 and in this day and age I wouldn't dream of leaving her un attended in my Garden let alone in a apartment in a Foreign country! what the f**k was they thinking of , Their Kids should have been far more preciouse to them than that! I know mine are......

just to add fuel to a very emotive fire im going to say whats on my mind. if i offend anybody im sorry.

firstly who would leave a 3yrd old and their younger twins brother/sister in a room out of view and earshot and go sitting drinking the night away? it would be bad enough to do this in your own house in your own county where you know the local area as well as the local temprement of its residents.

come on folks, this is not your averidge (?) behavour of a couple in their mid 30s -40s, this is the actions of a your foolish couple. whilst listening to the news on the radio today there are concerns about a missing hour between the last check where the child was noticed as missing to it being repoted. NOW, WOULD YOU WAIT AN HOUR TO NOTIFY THE POLICE YOUR BABE WAS MISSING?

look at all the media attention that they have both corted upon themselves. now im no crimernoligist but its as if there wanting to keep themselves in the media spotlight for a reason such as this. If they keep their plight in the public eye it can do one of 3 things. 1, to serve to help find their missing babe, 2, lead the police into thinking they are such a loving couple that they could not possible be involved, 3, get the masses behind them(if their guilty) in such a way it woiuld make it uncomfortabble for the police to point the finger of blame.

looking at all the footage on tv and the stunts such as visiting the pope, a film at the fa cup finale ect ect. sorry for being blunt about what im about to say but, and this is come from the portugise themselves there are at least a dozen kids going missing a week in that country and nothing is ever said about them.

i dont know about the rest of you but i have said from the begining, somethings just not right about this whole affair. look at ian huntly the soham killer, he wanted the mediae attention, even going out of his way to help the police. look at fred west and his wife rose, some loving parents they were. Sadly were brought up to believe that no parent can or will harm their child. sadly its not the case.

Thankfully most parents are loving caring folk who would die for their kids safety. I myself have step sons who i spend my whole waking moments making sure their not put in harms way, and this includes not leaving them un-attended.

only time will tell who is guilty and who is inocent of this crime, but untill this happens the fact remains. As parents the Mcanns failed to provide the safety and shelter from harm that is every parents, be them blood parents or step parents obligation to do so for the child in their care.

I don't even leave my dog's in the garden unattended, never mind a bonnie little lass, God bless her and save her. Whoever is responsible for the life of a child in these circumstances does'nt deserve a headstone never mind getting lifed off in a cushty jail with Plasma T.V.s, X-boxs, best of scran and Fooking Diploma's and Degree's when they get out, i'm sorry but this to me is not a sentence as an inconveniece. :censored:

chris..... you have said it all for me......... "its all about the parents now being persued for neglect".... like thats the most important thing . :wallbash: do you not think there being punished enough... all you lot must be amazing parents, i mean looking over your kids every second of every day of every week etc etc , as we know it only takes seconds for a kid to go missing, no matter who you are, at some point you will of taken your eyes off your child for what ever reason long enough for similar to happen... you can sit at your pc and say NO NEVER , but you would be lieing..... i guess the parents of j bulger in liverpool all them years ago got the same treatment from you lot???? the grandmum of the lass who got killed by the dog recently.they all got slated on the hunting forum by "perfect parents plc".... i could go on and on..... no parent is perfect, just a minority are in the wrong place at the wrong time...... surely this thread should be about the sad fact that we live in a society that we cant leave our kid under the fear this or similar may happen, and NOT as chris says " its about time the parents were persued for neglect"......surely there is time for that after the law finds out what really happened........

Not really a well considered answer...

There is a difference between losing a kid in a busy shop/shopping centre or a naughty older kid (like my son aged 9) going somewhere he aint allowed to play......

It is a completely different matter leaving them alone in a flat whilst you eat a few hundred yards away????

The missing hour, the fact that it was family here in the uk that reported her missing, and the blood in the car she hired 25days after the lass went missing, if all these facts are corroborated and verified then you dont need to be Columbo or perry fecking Mason to work that out! especially when you add a witness who saw a man leaving the appartment at around the time they should have found her, carrying a blanket roll, they have never traced this man (is it thefather?)

But we are all making these judgements from press reports and newspapers, who ever killed her, If this had happened in England they WOULD have been arrested and CHARGED with child neglect, what happened at court that is another matter, but trust me folk who leave kids alone at home do get arrested and charged,

Edited to add they also stated that they left them every night??? that shows a pattern of behaviour and lets just say your a local PAEDOPHILE, and you see these fecking morons everyday with three kids and then everynight in a restraunt, you would hardly need to be a surveylance specialist to establish where they are stopping, what times they leave and when they check the kids, then hey presto you have a choice of three kids to take and abuse at your leisure and pleasure

I have lost my son (temporarily we found him) but you make reasonable allowances and take the necessary steps to prevent this happening........me and the wife dont eat out, we need to find a reliable babysitter before we would consider leaving our kids in bed to have a nice meal and several drinks

chris..... you have said it all for me......... "its all about the parents now being persued for neglect".... like thats the most important thing . :wallbash: do you not think there being punished enough...

No. I don't think they're being punished enough. Any law enforcement official in the entire world will tell you that she's dead. A child snatched by strangers is unlikely to see the week out never mind 4 months. I'll be more amazed than you if this ends happily. This thread was about why it happened. Not what happened.

Ellie Lawrenson's grandmother is being tried for manslaughter because she let the dog in and it killed her grandaughter... is that too harsh? Wasn't losing her grandaughter enough? Was it f**k. She deserves to punished for being a dumbass guardian. Her actions, like the McCanns recklessly endangered their children to lowest point it can get to. Death. I'm sorry but where I come from that warrants further investigation. Not carte blanche to do whatever the f**k you want.

The saddest thing is we have 2 dead kids. However, it was completely preventable. I still maintain that if you or I did what the McCanns have done we'd be on remand now and the law would be going through everything we've ever done.

I've never ever, ever, ever, EVER left my kids unattended. Ever. The older they get the more freedom they have but this isn't about your kids playing in the garden or running about in the street.

This is about a three year old girl, and her younger twin sisters, who were left unattended while their parents partied on the other side of the holiday complex! They had no adult supervision at all.

Let that sink in for a minute...........

Society is shit. There never were any good old days. People get raped and murdered on a daily basis across the country and across the world. But it's not always that harsh. If Madeliene had been electricuted, or drowned, or fell of the balcony and died what would you have said then?

Knowing this, Alimac, would you leave your kids unattended in an apartment while you and your wife/girlfriend went for a meal?

compo dont make me laugh, there is no difference at all, if you take your eyes of your child for a split second, no matter where you are weather in a shopping center or hotel complex and they go missing then surely your guilty of the same thing in both cases... ALL parents have taken there eye off there kid long enough for similar to happen(this includes chris jones no matter what he says  ) i just hope and prey it never happen to one of you... and as for the knob head with balls for brains saying that losing there daughter is not punishment enough  .... well that says it all dont it....... brain dead springs to mind :wallbash: ..... here endeth my imput into this thread as talking to people that come out with the above is utterly pointless..... just to add at no point have i condoned them leaving there children alone.

There is a vast difference between the unthinkable happening in a busy area and becoming seperated from your child, and the wanton neglect of leaving 3 kids under 4 in bed in a flat every night of your holiday and going out for dinner with your mates until the early hours

I think chris jones will agree with me we have all done the first (kid runs off in a supermarket or park, or you lose their hand in a department store) but thats normal life.....

the second you must be a fecking idiot :whistling:
