Flipper_Al 1,012
Avast, or Avira both free from www.filehippo.com If you have an online bank account with Barclays, you can get Kaspersky free For removing AVG, theres a removal tool available for downloading. Useful software for removing virus 1) boot machine into safe mode power on and start pressing the F8 key until the menu comes up Select safe mode with networking, from the menu Once the machine is up and running 2) Download Emsisoft emergency kit, install, update it and run a DEEP scan http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/ 3) Download malwarebytes install, update and run a FULL scan http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ 4) Download Ccleaner install and run a registry cleanup http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Edited October 28, 2013 by Flipper_Al

kruby01 114
Cant stand the stupid things! not used one for about 7 years! I even disable windows own security as it just does my nut in. I download alot and never had a problem! I store everything on an external hard drive anyway so if i do have a problem i can just re-install windows and ive not lost anything! On my phone though I use DR.WEB and ive not had any issues as it doesn't constantly pop up saying are you sure you want to do this? Well i f***ing clicked it didn't i?? So are you 100% certain your machine isn't infected.... keyloggers don't announce themselves, while ransomware and others do I would be interested to see the result from a scan with malwarebytes..... ChrisJones 7,973
Recommend Spybot and Malware Bytes for extra security!
SINDASOX 255
Over the years i have used the free ones like AVG, Avast etc, but in the summer i had a new PC built and the fella in the shop said the best one out there is Kasperksy, i had the trial version on for a month but that has now run out, and you now have to buy it for a year.
