R.i.p Lou Reed

Recommended Posts

21 years old and grew up listening to Lou reed. Not even half the age of some on here but makes me feel old or like I ain't gotnna left with my old man. One of my favourites by Lou reed would be these lines...

No one dreams of being a doctor or lawyer or anything

They just dream of dealing on the boulevard

Or the classic Caroline says, gives me goosebumps hearing those words. Sad to say but I think his the same as Dylan and won't get the credit that's due until dead.

:cray: Oh, FFS! Was watching him only months ago. This year. Thinking then; " Who next? ".

Reaches for " Berlin " off the shelf .....

" And this is the room where she took the razor
and cut her wrists that strange and fateful night ....."

Well, this news has Really f**ked my night up :(

Does if make you older lot feel or age or start to worry? I work with death so know its coming aint f**k all we can do about that. Just sometimes think after seeing bodies and stuff how much we argue or waste time over such pathetic n minor stuff. Guess that's the affect of the job. Dispite me saying I don't let it all affect me I find myself telling people how I feel alot more and not when just drunk. Seen how quick it can end and even when you've told em how much they'll never know or believe it/

Dare; I go into town once a week. I, quite possibly, won't even clap eyes on another human being between taxi rides.

I've, long since, made a point of addressing my mate, the butcher, where I buy my weeks Dog meat. And the landlord of my 'Local', where I hoard my shopping ..... As I leave their premises:

" Thanks! Hope To See You Next Week! "

"Heroin, will be the death of me, it's my life and it's my wife, when I put a mainline to my vein, and I think that things are not the same"

Got away with it well to last till 71.
