Injured Lurcher

Have a lurcher here she ripped her stopper pad on her front leg ah while back! But everything i run her it keeps ripping ! Any advice cause its after happing to the other leg Thanks:)

best thing you could do is give it to your granny .and get a budgie .

you could wrap some boxing bandage around her stoppers when your going to run her. I had a bitch who ripped her stoppers so they were barely hanging on so I cut them off, I know that sounds bad but they were just hanging on by skin. she never had a problem with them again.

iff the stopper his; half cut, like hinge, so to speak,,, get it to a run dog vet,,and get it cut off on the hinge part of the cut stopper,,,normal daft vets will say let it heel,,,,,it will allways come open,,,,thats iff the stopper his how I described,,, yours mite not be has bad,,,

Yes, once they've been ripped half off they never stand up to hard pounding again: always open up along the scar, which is less elastic than the original tissue. Only thing is once they have no stoppers you may have to bind up the place with vet wrap before running them, with a bit of sponge where the stopper used to be, or they can get tendon damage if run on bad ground.
