New Kennel Set Up But I Need Advice On The Shed Floor

Recommended Posts

again ive a freind who is a tiler and loads of 4inch tiles but the floor has a bit of give in it do you think they will crack? he recons the grout has a flex in it?

Overboard the floor with marine ply, screwed at 4 inch centres, use a flexi two pack adhesive, grout with widejoint Microban (Bal)if the tiles your mate has are quarry or natural stone ,slate etc give them 2 coats of impregnator  If you go for vinyl spend a bit extra on the black rubber coving, seals it up superbly,if you want to really push the boat out use Altro safety floor, like they have behind bars, the carborundum in this will keep the dogs nails down, and it lasts forever ;) If you can find a local floorlaying firm Id be fairly certain they will have off cuts left of jobs, its used in pubs, schools, gyms etc bound to have scraps ...probably give them to you to get shut

The yard had a good slope for cleaning but I needed to put a shed in one corner.

I wanted a space to keep pups or a sick dog locked inside.

That would mean that the floor would need to be hosed down each day.

The plate is called "Diamond plate", it is non slip and used in industry for platforms.

It is fairly cheap and any good fabricator in your area could weld the shape to suit your shed.

It has turned up sides and back. The front is shaped to divert water out the door.

Once the shape is correct the whole thing is hot dip galvanized. (Zinc plated).

Totally waterproof and rustproof.

Sloped from back to front so that a bucket of water will drain out quickly.

It is very easy to clean and will last a lifetime.

Thats what I done put two boxes inside the shed, one at each end cut a hole in each end of the shed they go straight in to the box but cannot get into the shed, put a run outside partitioned in the middle,it creates two runs, they have to come out of the box and piss outside, they also cannot eat the inside of your shed.
