Getting A New Vessel.

Getting ourselves a new (as in brand new) inshore boat. Terhi 400, with a new 6hp Yamaha 4 stroke F6 outboard (complete with new tank and line), oars, rowlocks, couple of handles, new lifejackets, new trailer and an anchor for the wee beast!

 

Bought specifically for mackerel bashing and bass bothering fishing from 2 hr before to an hour after high tide, this beast planes with a 6hp engine, has more than enough room for the pair of us and we should be getting it at the tail end of next week!

The 400 is a capable enough boat, we won't be putting to sea if there is a gale blowing. But the construction of the 400 means if you get a boat full of water, you take the bung out! As long as it is moving forward the water in the hull will be drawn out by venturi effect! Neat! They are damned stable boats too!

be alright inshore i use a 4hp insore on my we rowing boat but offshore 60hp on my bigger boat sometimes when the tides turning you feel as if your no moving can be a dangerous place the west coast of scotland
