Same hare arch,,, picked them between Xmas and new year..befor now,,, mind I've also picked them in sept, and had good gin...

 

I read somewhere ,,don't know if its true or not,,, that the blackthorn bush,,, is the longest active plant,bush thingy,,, in that it can flower in feb,march ,, and still have fruit in to dec and jan,,,meaning it has very little inactivity in the year

Iv just been up to pick some Usually i wait for the first frost but there is a old man that picks them all and wont leave any for any one elce. Just out off intrest what brand off gin are you all useing and how long do i Freeze them for

ive used good gin and the cheapest you can buy and couldnt tell the difference, i froze them for a couple of weeks last time and a couple of days the time before the only diffence was the one's frozen for longer where a bit softer so it helps to release the juice......

 

but im no expert whatsoever it's just what i found
